Introduction - Who is Amanda?

That's me! For those who do not know me, here is a quick summary of who I am and how I came to be where I am with Amethyst Events by Amanda.

It started in 2015 when I was on my journey of planning a wedding. I happen to have also gotten a part-time job with an event production company doing photo booths and administrative work. I got married and my career grew with developing my knowledge of wedding planning.

Fast forward to 2018 and I got pregnant with twin girls! Small side note it was not an easy process as we had to go through IVF but in the end, it was all worth the tears and the stress.

The following year I became a Certified Wedding Planner and Ordained Minister. Then of course COVID-19 came along and just wanted to interrupt everything!

Between 2019 and 2023 I was between jobs, trying to make an income and at the same time take care of my family.

On October 13, 2023, I said enough is enough with bosses and companies who didn't care for their employees and I started Amethyst Events by Amanda LLC.

On November 27, 2023, I left my toxic work environment of a job and committed to bringing my dream career to life. This is now what I do as a full-time job and I couldn't be happier!

I appreciate and love my husband for leaping with me because with all the back and forth I had been going through we were just tired of always having to guess what was going to happen next and I felt like this was the next step to get back on track and live life!

I am not an overly strict person but I do know how things should be done and the proper way to do it. I like to show those who work with me that it's not all about protocols and rules because sometimes the rules are meant to be broken but only if it shows that it was better than before while breaking them. I have no shame and if you don't like the fact that I am loud and bold then I'm sorry, not sorry. I do whatever it takes and I hustle like Van McCoy (MUSIC REFERENCE!) Just do it!
